Sexual Health

Patients requesting just HIV tests can have a HDUO, the most recommended test, at £75.00. Results in 4 hours.
Whether you are concerned about a recent incident, have worrying symptoms or just want general peace of mind, we can advise you on which tests will be the most appropriate. The results are 100% confidential and will be known only to you and the clinic. You can give us a false name if you wish.
A combination of blood and urine samples, as well as swabs (although these are often not necessary) will be required to test for STDs such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Hepatitis B, Herpes and HIV as well as many others.
Who should be tested? Remember that you may have an STD and not experience any symptoms. Those who should be screened annually – in some cases more often – include men and women who have had a change of sexual partners, men who have sex with men, and people who inject drugs. If you think you have been exposed to infection, you should be tested very soon – typically about a week after possible Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea infection, for example, and 28 days after possible HIV infection.
Special instruction: Some of the tests are done via a urine sample. For this reason it is important not to urinate for three hours prior to attending the clinic.
